We issued some exciting news as well: Axis Technology Software Unveils DMsuite 4.1 at the HIMSS13 Conference Newest Version of Leading Data Masking Platform Supports More Environments and Data Types than Any Other Masking Product Boston, MA, & HIMSS Booth #8217, New Orleans, LA, March 4, 2013 – Axis Technology Software, LLC, the leading provider of enterprise data masking solutions, today announced the availability of DMsuite 4.1 at the HIMSS13 Conference. Available for interactive demos in booth #8217 near the Intelligent Hospital display, Axis' latest version of DMsuite offers the most complete coverage of databases with the addition of Eloquence, Business Basic for Java, and Redbrick, as well as the masking of unstructured data such as what is found within Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, and images. DMsuite 4.1 also offers enhanced support for clients with multi-tenant databases. Additionally, DMsuite reports have been expanded to support a centralized masking team that can perform charge-backs to the different business units. The expanded version of DMsuite directly supports the new Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) requirements recently announced by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The stricter regulations extend many of the privacy requirements to business associates of entities that receive protected health information, such as contractors and subcontractors. According to the DHHS, several of the largest breaches to-date have involved third parties. Penalties are dramatically increased for noncompliance based on the level of negligence, with a maximum penalty of $1.5 million per violation. Also impacted by these changes are the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Breach Notification requirements. Organizations must clarify exactly when breaches of unsecured health information took place to DHHS. “Organizations like Molina Healthcare and Tufts Health Plan specifically rely on DMsuite to help them keep up with privacy regulations," said Mike Logan, President of Axis Technology Software, LLC. “The release of DMsuite 4.1 couldn't be more timely and we're pleased to announce its availability at HIMSS." DMsuite™ secures development, quality assurance, and third-party testing environments by removing confidential data and replacing it with realistic, fictitious data. Because the masking transformation is executed in memory, production data is not accessible within DMsuite™ or anywhere in the target environment, making DMsuite™ the most secure and effective data masking offering on the market today. It maintains referential integrity across business lines and different platforms such as Oracle, MSSQL, Cache, Hadoop, and file formats that include VSAM, Excel, delimited, and XML. DMsuite™ can be used straight out of the box, offering self-service provisioning functionality. DMsuite™ is Web-based and its central point of control enables easy operation, administration, logging, and auditing.
