There's talk of an investigation into Google launching in multiple countries including the U.S. and the U.K.. Here's why: Google has unveiled that it has, inadvertently, been collecting personal Wi-Fi data with its Street View cars in the 30 countries where the service is available. While Google says what it did, though ‘wrong,’ was not illegal, a growing number of countries are launching investigations and getting the authorities involved. 30 Attorneys General in the US are currently in talks over a joint investigation of the matter and the UK Metropolitan Police has launched an investigation. Yet another reason why enterprises need to absolutely secure EVERYTHING on corporate devices. Situations like these can cause a domino effect and next thing you know, malicious individuals have your company's (or your customers') sensitive data.
