Delphix Builds Formidable Sales Team and Boosts Asia Pacific & Japan Business 50%

As part of its rapid expansion in to Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), Delphix has been on a recruitment spree since the beginning of 2018 appointing four IT veterans boasting a wealth of skills, know-how and experience.

Responsible for driving sales and developing strategic partnerships, the Regional Sales Managers are helping APJ’s agile, data driven enterprises transform their approach to data management and implement DataOps strategies to accelerate business innovation.

The four Managers report in to Vice President and General Manager for APJ, Richard Gerdis who said:

With this formidable and highly experienced sales team now in place, Delphix is primed to help more businesses become free from encumbering data challenges so they can move at the pace needed to succeed in today’s digital economy.”

Mike Cohen is based in Melbourne, Australia and leads the Southern Region of Australia. Mike has more than 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, holding executive sales and leadership roles at companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, Novell, Verizon, and VMware. Most recently, Mike worked at Microsoft where he was responsible for driving digital transformation engagements within the telecommunications and media sector.

Bryan Day joins Delphix as South East Asia Regional Sales Manager based in Singapore.  Bryan has extensive sales experience across enterprise networking, security, data centre and storage infrastructure with companies such as Orange Business Services, EMC, Riverbed and Commvault. Most recently, he held the role of director of sales and partnerships for emerging markets at Hootsuite.

Mark Rogerson leads Australia’s Northern Region based in Sydney. With more than 20 years in the IT industry, Mark has worked in a number of senior sales roles for companies such as CA Technologies and Novell. Most recently, he spent eight years at CA Technologies developing the company’s presence within large Australian financial services enterprises and telecoms companies.

Koji Yoshikawa joins Delphix as Regional Sales Manager for Japan, based in Tokyo. Koji’s experience working for US based IT companies spans more than three decades across Cloud, Business Intelligence, Database and Enterprise Applications for companies such as Oracle, IBM, Domo, Juniper and AT&T/NCR/Teradata. Most recently, Koji spent 8 years at Oracle Japan leading the worldwide alliances and channel business and prior to that, he successfully launched BI company, MicroStrategy into the Japan market.
