Delphix is proud to support and celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8, 2022. This global event commemorates the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. With this year’s theme #BreakTheBias, let us raise awareness against bias and take action for equality. This brings to light our achievements, learning from our history, and igniting a forward pace for a better future.

Come celebrate IWD with Delphix
We are joined by employees from around the globe who imagine a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. One where differences are both valued and celebrated. At Delphix, we are strongest when we bring together a diverse set of perspectives and experiences and enable everyone’s voice to be heard and respected.

How history helps us drive forward to a better future
From the late 1800's, women activists fought hard for equality to landing the 1920 women’s right to vote, and with a continued push of the feminist movement in the 1970’s. Over the last couple of decades, we’ve seen a major shift in accelerating women's equality with progressive influential leaders committed to build diverse and inclusive organizations, but is this enough? According to Forbes, information technology is one of the fastest-growing U.S. industries with technical innovation playing a crucial role in almost every sector of the economy. The underrepresentation of women in tech is not a new topic, and even though progress has been made, it is moving at an extremely slow pace. We must do better to accelerate and champion this change.

From across the world and through every industry, women are advancing their foothold and it's starting off at home, with Delphix. “Creating the strongest possible teams starts with the strength of diverse ideas, skills and backgrounds. We need to showcase the work we still need to do to make diversity the norm in Tech,” said Tammi Warfield, WW SVP Customer Success and Services at Delphix.

It is inspiring to see how women leaders in their own right are creating this path forward for the good of technology. Chief Technology and Operations Officer, Jennifer Smith, from Zions Bancorporation was named one of the “25 Most Powerful Women in Banking”, by American Banker Magazine. She also drives initiatives to create a development program for promising mid-career bankers with a focus on women and people of color.

Advocating for the next generation of leaders
Women used 2021 to make real strides creating impact and accelerating progress toward building a more equitable society for the benefit of all, according to Worth.com. Many organizations are supporting the development of young women especially across STEM. I have been fortunate in my career to be part of organizations who see value in promoting young women advancements across technology. We need to be the catalyst to champion change and build opportunities that pave the way for the next generation of women leaders.

Women in leadership can help others by empowering them to make change happen. For Tracy Kerrins, Chief Information Officer, Wells Fargo, she is helping drive women in STEM. “I hope we will continue to see a reduction in the gender gap for senior roles. As that movement expands, seeing women in high-level leadership and executive roles will become less shocking, with fewer “firsts.” Also, that dialogue will focus on what matters—the work—and more emphasis on the value, strength, and leadership women in STEM bring to changing the world.”

There are many programs and organizations which promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), Women in Tech and Girls who Code. Together with Delphix, we can #BreakTheBias and inspire each other to resist the status quo and celebrate women achievements around the globe.

We invite you to celebrate International Women’s Day with us so we may all support one another towards change, and forging a more gender-balanced world for tomorrow. Thanks to our employees and companies alike who are acknowledging achievements, building empowerment and sharing their voice to #BreakTheBias.
