Data as a Service Leader to Award $5,000 in Educational Funds for Best Software Development Project; Scholarship Program Aims to Further Workplace Diversity in Technical Fields
MENLO PARK, Calif., June 1, 2015 - Delphix, the market leader in Data as a Service, today announced the third-annual Delphix Technology Scholarship for Women, a software development competition for women university students. The scholarship is designed to foster workplace diversity in engineering by encouraging women students to pursue technical degrees. The winner of the scholarship will receive a $5,000 grant to cover costs associated with earning a technical degree such as computer science, mathematics and information technology.
Ideal submissions will demonstrate creativity and technical acumen to solve a specific problem, with strong design, implementation, testing, documentation and collaboration included. The 2014 scholarship winner, Vinamrata Singal, a student at Stanford University, developed an application named OnCall, which enables university students to quickly locate an on-call resident assistant (RA) within a specific on-campus housing unit.
To qualify for the Delphix Technology Scholarship for Women, applicants must:

Delphix is now accepting submissions. Submissions must be received by Nov. 15, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Delphix will announce the scholarship winner in December 2015.
