How To Create Branches

Let’s walk through how a branching operation works in the Delphix Self Service environment.

Here, we see the timeline that was created previously. Up until now, all the operations have happened on this single timeline. However, Delphix also enables users to create multiple timelines, or branches, that they can switch between.

This is incredibly useful for a QA tester who’s often working on more than one version of an application and needs to quickly revert to previous versions in order to validate bug fixes.
